Anna Flynn

Former nurse Anna Flynn found a new passion during COVID lockdowns—eco printing with eucalyptus leaves. Her practice has grown from cotton and linen to silk, wool, alpaca, cashmere, paper, and ceramics, with each piece being entirely unique. She also creates felted pots, tea cosies, and wall pieces. Now retired, Anna runs Half Dot Eco Prints and teaches felting workshops at Customs House Gallery & Gift Shop.

Annie Thiering

Annie Thiering is a Bendigo-based artist whose work reflects her deep respect for nature, culture, and community. Having worked with Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, and APY communities, she weaves Aboriginal perspectives into her diverse practice spanning painting, photography, weaving, pottery, and installations.

Barbara Duke

Barbara Duke is a self-taught artist from Rushworth, Victoria, inspired by Monet’s use of colour and light. Working in oils, pastels, and watercolours, she paints landscapes, still life, and wildlife, often outdoors. Her award-winning work has been featured in Artist’s Palette and How to Paint in Watercolours.

Barbara Magnay

Barbara Magnay is a Tatura-based ceramicist who blends function with artistic expression. Working intuitively with clay, her evolving practice explores unique textures and finishes. Her work has been exhibited locally, including at Customs House Gallery & Gift Shop.

Brett Dart

Brett Dart is a community-focused artist who creates animal sculptures and faces with a Picasso-inspired flair. Alongside his art, he runs woodwork workshops through Vivid and volunteers with Marine Rescue.

Cheryl Koster

Cheryl Koster, from the Riverina region, draws inspiration from her lifelong connection to nature and the Australian landscape. Now retired from nursing, she creates vibrant artworks using dried native flowers, resin, and alcohol inks, celebrating the textures, colours, and delicate beauty of local flora.

Cliff Watters

Cliff Watters has spent over 25 years creating unique artisan jewellery inspired by Zuni and Navajo designs and the Australian outback. His sterling silver and gold pieces often feature native flora and fauna, crafted with self-taught techniques that ensure no two are alike. An award-winning jeweller, Cliff takes pride in making beautiful, lasting pieces that people love to wear.

Daniel Wein

Daniel Wein, raised across Australia, the US, Sweden, and Israel, creates emotionally charged portraiture exploring identity, emotion, and resilience. Working in acrylics, oils, and plasticine, his expressive pieces—including Darling Portrait Prize finalist The Epitome of Hymie—reveal the stories faces can tell. Daniel exhibits at regional galleries and donates works to support injured veterans, using art as a tool for healing and connection.

Darren Hudson

Darren Hudson, a Gunaikurnai and Yorta Yorta man from Numurkah, draws inspiration from his cultural heritage and totems, the pelican and blue wren. Originally a tattoo artist, he now expresses his creativity through painting, sharing stories, culture, and connection to Country while blending tradition with his evolving artistic voice.

 Debra Emanuelli

Debra Emanuelli, from Rochester, Victoria, is an award-winning artist known for her realism and versatility. Trained under Bendigo tutor Lance McNeill, she works in acrylics, pastels, pen, pencil, ink, and resin, and also creates sculpture and handmade jewellery. With over forty art awards and exhibitions at venues including Foundry Artspace and Customs House Gallery, her work demonstrates remarkable skill, depth, and attention to detail.

Della Nelson

Della Nelson, based in Lockington, Victoria, began her artistic journey later in life after being inspired by her son’s painting lessons. Working primarily in acrylics, she experiments with textures and vibrant colors influenced by Art Deco, modernism, and pop art. Della has exhibited locally and in Melbourne, often alongside her son, Lee, showcasing their shared creative journey.

Di Richmond

Di Richmond, originally from Sydney and now based in Echuca, is a mosaic artist whose passion was sparked by a 2001 workshop. She incorporates resin to add texture and depth, drawing inspiration from earthy tones and Moroccan design. Di also shares her skills through workshops at Customs House Gallery, finding joy in connecting with others through her art.

Eleanor Bridge

Eleanor Bridge, from Portarlington, Victoria, rekindled her love of painting after a 20-year career in tourism. Inspired by her artistic parents, she works in oils to create landscapes from memory, aiming to transport viewers and celebrate the beauty of her region. Eleanor has exhibited at venues including the Shepparton Art Museum.

Elizabeth Jaworski

Elizabeth Jaworski, based in Echuca, Victoria, is a contemporary mixed-media artist whose work began as a healing practice. Using acrylics, pencils, pastels, crayons, and Posca pens, she creates richly textured, playful pieces, often infused with her signature pink. Elizabeth has exhibited at The Foundry Arts Space and explores themes of healing, joy, and the transformative power of creativity.

Elly Trigwell

Elly Trigwell, based in Echuca, creates colourful, expressive artworks across acrylics, watercolours, oils, ink, pencil, and charcoal. Her playful yet emotional style explores people, animals, flowers, and abstract forms. Elly has exhibited at The Foundry Art Space, Customs House Gallery, and Kyabram Town Hall Gallery, and actively contributes to community art events and charity initiatives.

Emma Roberts ‘Elf’

Emma Roberts ‘Elf’, recently relocated to Echuca from Portland, Victoria, creates vibrant, imaginative works inspired by music and the natural world. Working primarily in acrylics and inks on canvas and paper, her abstract pieces balance intensity and subtlety, exploring energy, movement, and emotion through bold colour and intricate detail.

Giselle Bolotin

Giselle Bolotin, originally from Germany and now based in Australia, creates intuitive, spiritually guided artworks in acrylics, inks, and mixed media. Inspired by and encouraged by her Russian dad, nature and the feminine spirit, her work has won multiple awards and is held in collections worldwide. A book about her life and art, Giselle by Kenji Siratori, was published in 2023.

Heather Wellington

Heather Wellington, originally from Bristol, England, works in pastels, acrylics, mixed media, and textiles. Returning to art at fifty, she has held numerous exhibitions and explores vibrant, textured creations inspired by her love of embroidery. Based in Rushworth, Heather also fosters community art and now shares her joyful, uplifting work at Customs House Gallery.

Heidi Falzon

Heidi Falzon, based in Moama, is a self-taught visual artist whose multicultural upbringing informs her vibrant, expressive works in acrylics, watercolours, oils, inks, and mixed media. Exploring surrealism, impressionism, modernism, and abstract expressionism, her art reflects themes of femininity, spirituality, and nature. Heidi has exhibited in Canada and Australia, with works held in private collections worldwide.

John Stevens

John Stevens, based in Echuca, Victoria, is a self-taught visual artist with a career spanning over five decades. Working in oils, acrylics, pencil, sculpture, and linocut, he creates landscapes, portraits, and whimsical compositions. John has exhibited widely, designed public sculptures and murals, and completed notable projects including a miniature recreation of van Gogh’s Yellow House, recognized by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.

Johnny Birmingham

Johnny Birmingham began as a tattoo artist and now creates vibrant, playful artworks from discarded items. Inspired by nature, especially birds, his pieces often feature pop art and whimsical characters, blending bold colors with occasional monochrome, celebrating both creativity and sustainability.

Karen Waight

Karen Waight, based in regional Victoria, combines acrylic paint with vintage book pages to create emotionally resonant, visually striking works. Drawing on her background in dance, childcare, and sewing, her art blends nostalgia and contemporary style, celebrating transformation, storytelling, and the beauty of turning everyday materials into something extraordinary.

Kathleen Watson

Kathleen Watson, originally from Wyoming, USA, turned to visual art as a form of healing after personal loss. Mainly self-taught, she works in oils, acrylics, and charcoal to create emotive, textured pieces featuring nature, landscapes, birds, beaches, and the human form. Her mystical and enchanting work has been exhibited at venues including Foundry Artspace and Customs House Gallery.

Kaye Wild

Kaye Wild, based in Echuca, Victoria, began her artistic journey after retiring from a career in nursing, academia, and government. Inspired by her travels and Frida Kahlo, her vibrant, expressive works celebrate storytelling and cultural richness. Kaye’s art reflects her passion for bold creativity while balancing life as a mother and grandmother.

Kristen Dyer

Kristen Dyer, based in Victoria, is a visual artist and educator known for her textured acrylic paintings exploring environment, trauma, and addiction. With a background in graphic design and a Visual Arts degree with Honours from La Trobe University, she has exhibited widely and her work is held in collections worldwide. Kristen also leads workshops, sharing techniques for adding depth and texture to paintings.

Leanne Cuffe

Leanne Cuffe, based in Tongala, creates minimalist artworks exploring circular forms and storytelling, often informed by her experiences with disability. Her signature circle motif conveys ease and fluidity, and her Billy Button series draws inspiration from the native Craspedia flowers, reflecting both personal memory and connection to nature.

Lee Nelson

Lee Nelson, from Echuca/Moama, Victoria, is an emerging autistic artist who uses art to express himself and connect with others. Working with Little Tree Art Classes, he has developed his skills and confidence, creating bold, joyful works. Lee has held solo exhibitions and regularly exhibits at Customs House Gallery alongside his mother, Della Nelson.

Linda Clark

Linda Clark, based in Echuca/Moama, is a jewellery and pottery artist with over 20 years of experience. She creates unique, nature-inspired pieces in sterling silver, gold, and ceramics, drawing from the Murray River, native bushland, and coastal elements. Linda also teaches pottery at Beldari Pottery, sharing her skills and passion with others.

Lisa Dalla Rosa

Lisa Dalla Rosa, based in Bendigo, Victoria, creates expressive, textured artworks that capture the spirit of the Australian landscape. Using inks, watercolours, acrylics, encaustic wax, and a variety of natural and man-made materials, she produces richly layered, dynamic pieces. Since 1996, Lisa has exhibited widely across Australia and internationally, including Toronto, Singapore, Dubai, and New York.

Lisa Wilkinson

Lisa Wilkinson, based in Echuca, Victoria, creates evocative landscapes celebrating animals, wildlife, and the natural world. Her immersive paintings use colour and composition to convey beauty and connection, reflecting her love of nature. Lisa exhibits locally, supports arts organisations, and contributes to animal charities and community initiatives.

Linda Hermens

Drawing inspiration from the rhythms of rural life, Linda Hermens creates expressive works that explore the connection between creativity, sustainability, and the natural world. Her art celebrates harmony, growth, and mindful creation.  

Olivia Mitchell

Olivia Mitchell is Oan Echuca-born artist working mainly in watercolour, pastels, and oils.  Inspired by her life on farms, her work often features animals, flowers, and native gum leaves.  For Olivia, creating art is both a meditation and a joyful escape from everyday life.

Mel Jamieson

Mel Jamieson, based in Finley, NSW, creates vibrant artworks inspired by nature, animals, and storytelling. Trained in fine arts at Monash University with a focus on stained glass, drawing, and design, she incorporates native birds and playful hares into her bold, colorful pieces. Mel has exhibited widely across Victoria and NSW, earning awards and recognition for her lively, imaginative work.

Narges Scurrah

Narges Scurrah, based in Echuca, Victoria, is a visual artist and educator originally from Iran. Trained in graphic design and painting, she creates resin artworks exploring resilience, hope, and cultural heritage. Narges actively teaches and runs workshops locally, using art to inspire, connect communities, and share stories of perseverance and transformation.

Phil Coster

Phil Coster, born in Horsham and now based in Nagambie, is a versatile artist working in watercolour, acrylics, mosaics, enamel, pen and ink, photography, and sculpture using found materials. Trained at the Preston Institute of Technology, he draws inspiration from everyday life, landscapes, and repurposed materials. Phil has exhibited widely and continues to create after a varied career including roles as paramedic, mail carrier, and truck driver.

Renae Portwine 

Renae is an Echuca, Victoria-based artist and graphic designer whose passion for creative expression shines through her vibrant native Australian flora and fauna pieces. A background in visual communications informs her tactile approach to acrylic painting, resulting in charming and whimsical, colour-driven pieces filled with expressive strokes and delightful patterns. Balancing character with solid hues, her artwork offers a delightful embrace to the Australian natural landscapes.

Ross Arthur Morgan

Ross Arthur Morgan, a Yorta Yorta artist from Shepparton, Victoria, creates vibrant contemporary artworks celebrating his heritage and personal identity. His pieces feature intricate linework, totems like the long-necked turtle and goanna, and the Dungala (Murray River), blending tradition with modern colour and style. Ross’s work is held in collections across Australia, the USA, UK, and Europe, and he collaborated on the Collingwood Football Club’s Indigenous guernsey in 2020 to honor the 1939 Cummeragunja Walk-Off.

Maree (Stone Daisy)

Maree (Stone Daisy) is a textile artist and educator with over 50 years of sewing experience. She creates unique handmade cushions, bags, quilts, garments, and costumes using high-quality fabrics and upcycled materials. Maree has taught across Australia and continues to support communities, including running the Intergenerational Sewing Project for Arrernte women in the Northern Territory.
